Enabling people and organizations for self - organization
With a 25 years career as a coder, software product architect, physics scientist, coach and an entrepreneur, I have been working on the science and concept of Self-organization and self-managed teams (also a subject of my Ph.D. thesis in space physics). I see agile as a framework to enable and catalyze self-organizing and self-managed teams in alignment with organic evolution. The only framework that can help support the model of co-owned and co-architected organizations of the future. I have seeded and evangelized agile in three web services and product organizations so far ranging from 50 to 500 people with teams and customers across the globe. Leading delivery and customer success operations across two organizations, my involvements ranged from designing and structuring governance and operations to support agile and portfolio management best practices, designing engagement and operational programs to empower and engage workforce, training customers, designing agile contracts while ensuring organizational scalability.
Designing related operations (process, frameworks, policies, vision statement, culture, OKR’s, performance and KPI management, ISO, tools) in the companies to create self-managed and self-organized high performing teams using the scientific principles of self organization (inherently agile) has been my focus area almost whole of last two decades.
Recent Professional Experience
Senior project/portfolio manager : Evangelising, institutionalising and auditing best practice agile operational processes via open source tools and appropriate governance structures in project and portfolio management for effective and efficient project deliveries.
Director - Delivery : Co-architected delivery management from its re-inception to create high performing remote teams on scientific principles of agile and self-organising systems while being aligned to CMMi.
COO/Head- Customer Success : Re-invent tools and techniques along with introducing customer success as a value stream / Evangelising Human Resources, culture building and its synergy to organisational strategy / Employee retention, employee engagement and happiness management in work from home teams / Leading life coaches, delivery managers and project managers and building their career roadmaps in alignment with employees passions, career goals and organisational strategy, short-term and long term goals.
